Rabat: Liberia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sara Beysolow Nyanti, has declared her country’s unwavering support for Morocco’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and its autonomy initiative as the only viable solution to the ongoing dispute. This announcement came during a press briefing after Nyanti’s meeting with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Nyanti emphasized Liberia’s full endorsement of Morocco’s autonomy plan, describing it as the only credible, serious, and realistic resolution to the conflict. She further highlighted that Liberia, set to become a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council in 2026, will maintain its support for this position.
Nyanti also noted the Republic of Liberia’s approval of the increasing international consensus and the positive momentum initiated by HM King Mohammed VI, endorsing the autonomy plan and Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara.
