Lieutenant General, FAR Inspector General Receives Commander of UN Mission in Kingdom’s Southern Provinces


Agadir: As part of the regular meetings between the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and the United Nations Mission in the Kingdom’s southern provinces, Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, FAR Inspector General and Commander of the South Zone, received Major General Fakhrul Ahsan, Force Commander of the UN Mission in the Kingdom’s Southern Provinces. Major General Ahsan was accompanied by Colonel Alexander Kask, Chief of Staff of the UN Mission Force, at the South Zone General Staff Headquarters in Agadir on Thursday.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the meeting provided an opportunity for the two officials to discuss the mission’s activities. The Royal Armed Forces General Staff released a statement highlighting the discussions that took place during the meeting.

The two officials welcomed the exceptional cooperation between the parties involved, emphasizing coordination in fields such as operational strategies, security measures, demining efforts, and logistical support. The statement from the Royal Armed
