Lower House Speaker Engages in Talks with Slovak Foreign and Defense Ministers


Rabat: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami, held talks on Thursday in Rabat with the Slovak Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Juraj Blan¡r, and the Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Robert Kalin¡k. The discussions took place as the Slovak ministers led a prominent delegation on an official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the meeting offered an opportunity to highlight the major projects initiated by Morocco under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The discussions reaffirmed the importance of the relations between Morocco and Slovakia and explored ways to strengthen these ties. The Lower House emphasized the foundational principle of Morocco’s foreign policy, which includes respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states and non-interference in domestic affairs. The meeting underscored Morocco’s ongoing efforts to resolve conflicts peacefully and support initiatives that aim to establish peace and security on regional and international levels.



The dialogue between the parties also focused on the role of bilateral and multilateral parliamentary relations in enhancing cooperation. It emphasized the exchange of parliamentary experiences and expertise, maintaining continuous communication, and coordinating at various regional and international parliamentary forums. Both sides discussed the importance of exchanging visits, clarifying views, and utilizing opportunities to strengthen the relationship between the two legislative bodies.



The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovakia to Rabat, Juraj Tomaga, along with several officials, advisors, and executives from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Slovakia.
