Lower House Speaker Engages with Finnish Agriculture Minister in Rabat


Rabat: The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami, held discussions on Wednesday with Sari Essyah, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry from Finland, who is visiting Morocco for work-related purposes.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the discussions focused on Morocco’s major projects and reforms in agriculture, fisheries, food security, and water supply security, led under the leadership of King Mohammed VI. The meeting highlighted Morocco’s parliamentary experience spanning over sixty years, emphasizing the roles of the House of Representatives in legislation, monitoring, and public policy evaluation.



Talbi El Alami elaborated on the cooperative relationship with the Finnish Parliament. This partnership is based on coordination, sharing parliamentary experience, and maintaining ongoing consultation while respecting state sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs.



The talks also covered bilateral, multilateral, and parliamentary relations, attended by Marjaana Sall, the Finnish Ambassador to Rabat, along with Moroccan and Finnish officials and administrators.
