Lower House Speaker Engages with Ghanaian Delegation on Strategic Cooperation


Rabat: Lower House Speaker welcomed a delegation from Ghana, marking a significant step in strengthening the historic relations between Morocco and Ghana. These discussions, also attended by Charity Gbedawo, the Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to Morocco, centered around enhancing collaboration in renewable energy, agricultural development, and addressing food and water security, as stated in a press release from the Lower House.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the meeting also served as a platform to spotlight the initiatives led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the development of the African continent. Special emphasis was placed on the Royal Atlantic Initiative, which aims to facilitate access for Sahel countries to the Atlantic Ocean.

The Ghanaian delegation, comprising notable figures such as Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, the Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Committee of the Ghanaian Parliament, along with several administrative officials, is in Morocco for a seri
es of engagements. Their visit includes interactions with Moroccan officials and field visits to gain insights into Morocco’s advancements in agriculture, food, and water security, as well as major projects initiated under the leadership of King Mohammed VI.
