Maintenance of two mosques in Muharraq completed


Manama: Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futtais Al Hajeri, the Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, has announced the completion of the rehabilitation and maintenance of the “Bin Darbas” and ” Umma Hatul Mumineen ” mosques in the Muharraq Governorate.

This follows the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to open, renovate, and rehabilitate 32 mosques affiliated with the Sunni and Jaafari Endowments Directorates across all governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council commended the construction and reconstruction projects for places of worship in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which are carried out under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the follow-up of the government, led by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He emphasised the role of places of worship in spreading the values of cooperation, solidarity, and mutual support, as well as enhancing good
citizenship.

The Chairman also commended the directives of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which reflect HRH’s keen interest on the needs of citizens, and commitment to giving the role of worship places the attention they deserve in society, elevating the status of mosques, and rebuilding them. He commended the integration of efforts of various relevant authorities in implementing the plan to develop mosques and fast-track the completion of procedures for opening and rehabilitating them.
