Marrakech – Pursuant of Very High Royal Instructions, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in charge of National Defense Administration Abdeltif Loudyi received, on Wednesday in Marrakech before Lieutenant General, Inspector General of Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the South Zone Mohammed Berrid, the Minister of Defense of the Czech Republic Jana Cernochová, and General Zakir Hasanov, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as part of their participation in the 7th International Aerospace Exhibition ‘Marrakech Airshow 2024’.
These talks, attended by Ambassadors of the two Republics in Rabat, were devoted to signing two cooperation agreements in military and technical fields, each with each country, according to a press release from the National Defense Administration. The cooperation agreements focus on training and military exercises, defense industry, technical support and exchange of expertise, military health and cybersecurity.
During these meetings, the Czech and Azerbaijani m
inisters underlined Morocco’s partnership as high priority, and seized the opportunity to express admiration for the impressive level of economic and social development achieved by the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, making Morocco a dynamic player and a haven of stability and peace for its Euro-Mediterranean and African neighborhood.
At the close of the meeting, the defense ministers expressed their shared ambition and willingness to enshrine these relations in the future, through the implementation of the provisions of the military and technical cooperation agreements inked today, and through regular exchanges of visits by senior officials, the press release concluded.
