Marrakech: The 3rd Marrakech Economic Parliamentary Forum for the Euro-Mediterranean region and the Gulf, a significant event held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, is set to take place on May 23-24 in Marrakech.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the forum is organized by the House of Councillors in collaboration with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM). This year’s forum will focus on “Unprecedented Economic, Trade and Energy Challenges – Response of Regional Parliaments and the Private Sector,” aiming to explore the main challenges and opportunities facing the global economy, particularly in the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf regions.
The forum will also emphasize the role of legislative action and parliamentarians in driving necessary change through three main thematic sessions. These sessions will cover topics such as “The Evolving Landscape of International Trade and Finance in the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf Regions,” “Energy Adaptation in Both Regions – A Multidimensional Approach to Achieving Sustainable Development,” and “AI and its Governance – Enhancing Parliamentary Oversight through Monitoring its Evolution, Applications, and Regulation.”
This event serves as an institutional platform for dialogue and cooperation between PAM parliamentarians and partners. It gathers political and economic leaders, public and private sector stakeholders, and representatives from academia and civil society to address key challenges, propose solutions, and promote stronger economic ties and investment between the two regions.
