Berlin: A delegation from Morocco’s National Foundation of Museums visited Berlin from June 18 to 20 as part of a trip aimed at laying the groundwork for a promising partnership with the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation (SPK) and contributing to the strengthening of cultural ties between Morocco and Germany. This visit, initiated by the Goethe-Institut Marokko and following a trip by a German delegation to Rabat on May 22 and 23, 2025, marks the beginning of a structured partnership with mutually enriching prospects between the FNM and the SPK.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, these two cultural institutions are continuing their exchanges and launching a dynamic of cooperation, according to a statement from the Foundation.
During this visit, the Moroccan delegation had the opportunity to explore the Dahlem Museum, its collections, reserves, and restoration workshops, the major exhibitions of the Humboldt Forum, the Alte Nationalgalerie showcasing 19th-century sculptures and paintings, as well as the Hamburger Bahnhof – National Gallery for Contemporary Art, highlighting the vitality of the German art scene and the diversity of contemporary expressions.
These visits were highlighted by a significant meeting with the Ambassador of Morocco to Germany, Zouhour Alaoui, in a spirit of dialogue and exchange centered around the universal values conveyed by culture and the importance of international cooperation in this field.
