Fez: Under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco is playing a key role in the economic integration of the African continent, according to the Ambassador of Madagascar to Morocco, Johary Hoela Rajobson. Speaking on Thursday in Fez, Rajobson emphasized Morocco’s pivotal position as a driving force behind South-South cooperation partnerships during the “We Afri Can – Africa in Action: Creating Synergies for a Shared Future” conference. This event was part of the fifth edition of the Fes-Meknes Economic Forum.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the ambassador highlighted Morocco’s potential to further contribute to Africa’s development through joint economic programs and projects with other African nations, aiming to bolster the continent’s economic integration. He also reflected on the strong historical ties between Morocco and Madagascar, noting that these relations have been characterized by significant depth over the years.
The Malagasy diplomat pointed out that Madagascar maintains an active embassy in Morocco, which is tasked with managing bilateral relations, overseeing the Malagasy community in the Kingdom, and promoting economic diplomacy to foster cooperative ties between the two countries. In addition, he commended the collaborative efforts of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of Fes-Meknes with Malagasy consular chambers.
The fifth edition of the Fes-Meknes Economic Forum, held under the high patronage of HM King Mohammed VI, has attracted participation from representatives of several African and European countries, further underscoring the significance of Morocco’s role in regional economic cooperation.
