New york: The Head of Morocco’s Government held a meeting with the President of the European Commission on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly. During this meeting, both parties emphasized the strong ties between Morocco and the European Union (EU) across various fields.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the discussions between Akhannouch and von der Leyen also focused on exploring ways to further enhance the strategic partnership between Morocco and the EU. Morocco stands as the EU’s leading economic and trade partner in Africa, while the EU is Morocco’s primary trade partner, with trade exchanges surpassing 60% of the total exchange volume.
The Head of Government is leading Morocco’s delegation to the ongoing UN General Assembly, accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita.
