Dubai: Morocco and Saudi Arabia are set to enhance their bilateral cooperation in the field of civil aviation. This initiative was discussed during a meeting held on the sidelines of the 19th Dubai Airshow, where both nations highlighted the strong relationship they share in various sectors and addressed issues related to air transport services.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Moroccan Minister Kayouh emphasized the significant momentum in travel and air traffic between Morocco and Saudi Arabia in recent years. This includes flights for Hajj and Umrah, along with other services that connect citizens of both countries. Kayouh expressed Morocco’s commitment to strengthening its cooperation with Saudi Arabia in all civil aviation-related areas.
Kayouh also announced Morocco’s role as the host of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s Global Implementation Support Symposium (ICAO-GISS 2026), which is scheduled for April 2026 in Marrakech. The Dubai Airshow serves as an ideal platform to extend
invitations to global stakeholders in the civil aviation sector for this upcoming event.
The 19th edition of the Dubai International Airshow, which commenced on Monday, features a large gathering of leaders, decision-makers, innovators, and aviation industry professionals from 150 countries, including Morocco. Leading the Moroccan delegation is Minister Kayouh, alongside a pavilion from the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency (AMDIE) and several industry exhibitors.
