Madrid: Morocco’s automotive industry is making a strong showing at the Motortec Madrid 2025 trade fair, with eight manufacturers representing the Kingdom at one of Europe’s leading exhibitions dedicated to automotive professionals.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Moroccan participation is coordinated by the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency (AMDIE) and the Moroccan Automotive Industry and Trade Association (AMICA). This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the global visibility and competitiveness of Morocco’s automotive sector. The event, held from April 23 to 26, features six first-time exporters and two companies already active in international markets.
AMDIE stated that the presence of these manufacturers underscores Morocco’s growing role as a regional manufacturing hub. The country’s industrial strategy emphasizes high value-added exports, increased local integration, and advanced manufacturing capabilities. The Kingdom’s involvement in Motortec is also a reflection of its ambitions to strengthen economic ties with Spain, one of its top trade partners, and to establish itself as a preferred destination for global automotive players seeking efficiency and proximity to European markets.
Organizers noted that Morocco’s emergence as an international automotive hub is driven by factors such as modern infrastructure, a skilled workforce, and an investment-friendly environment. The sector’s growth aligns with the strategic vision of HM King Mohammed VI, who has prioritized industrialization and export-led growth.
Motortec serves as a platform for Moroccan firms to showcase their innovations, connect with key decision-makers, and explore new opportunities within one of the world’s most dynamic automotive supply chains.
