Morocco’s CESE and French CESE Enhance Bilateral Cooperation

Paris: Morocco’s Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) and its French counterpart have taken significant steps to strengthen their bilateral cooperation. This development came as a result of a recent visit by the Moroccan CESE President, Amara, to the French CESE, where he was accompanied by the secretary-general and other council members. During the visit, Amara engaged in discussions with Beaudet, focusing on areas of common interest and the future trajectory of their collaborative efforts.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the visit facilitated an agreement between the two councils to collaborate on several strategic projects. These projects include initiatives aimed at enhancing the mobility of young graduates, building capacity, fostering citizen participation, and defining the role of both institutions within their respective African and Francophone umbrella organizations. Both parties also committed to developing a methodology for assessing the impact of their collaborative work.

During a session with the 19 presidents of the constituent groups of the French CESE, Amara outlined the essential role of Morocco’s CESE in analysis, opinion drafting, and supporting major national projects. He highlighted the council’s co-construction approach, which involves engaging with the active forces of the nation and its citizens, especially the youth. Beaudet, in response, expressed his pride in the high-quality partnership between the two councils and acknowledged the relevance of the cooperation actions that have been implemented.
