Rabat: Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi Alami met with Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko on Monday in Rabat, during the 15th Morocco-Senegal High Joint Partnership Commission visit to the Kingdom.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, a press release from the House highlighted the reaffirmation of the special historical brotherhood between Morocco and Senegal. The two countries maintain shared values and common goals, which were underscored during the meeting.
In terms of parliamentary matters, the press release emphasized the positive cooperation between the House of Representatives and the Senegalese National Assembly. Both entities are committed to strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as fostering the exchange of experiences, expertise, and working visits.
The discussions were attended by notable figures, including Cheikh Niang, Minister of African Integration, Foreign Affairs, and Senegalese Abroad; Abdourahmane Sarr, Minister of Economy, Planning, and Cooperation; Daouda Ngom, Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation; Seynabou Dial, Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal to Morocco; Hassan Naciri, Ambassador of Morocco to Dakar; Ambassador Cheikh Mouhamadou Bamba Lo, diplomatic advisor to the Senegalese Prime Minister, alongside various officials and administrative executives from both nations.
