Rabat: Ways to strengthen bilateral economic relations and establish more dynamic, sustainable, and mutually beneficial cooperation between Morocco and Senegal were the focus of talks on Monday in Rabat between Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Fettah and Senegalese Minister of Economy, Planning, and Cooperation Abdourahmane Sarr.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, during this meeting, which took place on the sidelines of the 15th Morocco-Senegal Joint Cooperation Commission, the two parties discussed ways and means of materializing their shared wish to strengthen bilateral economic relations and establish more dynamic, sustainable, and mutually beneficial cooperation into concrete actions.
In this regard, they emphasized the importance of more exchanges between economic actors in both countries, taking full advantage of the existing legal framework between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Senegal, as well as the synergies offered by their respective economies.
On this occasion, Fettah reiterated Morocco’s ongoing commitment to developing its relations with African countries, and with Senegal in particular, in line with His Majesty the King’s enlightened Vision for stronger and more effective South-South cooperation.
Fettah and Sarr welcomed the excellent relations and ties of cooperation and friendship between Morocco and Senegal.
This meeting also provided an opportunity to review technical cooperation between the two departments. In this regard, the two ministers noted with satisfaction the quality and quantity of exchanges between their respective teams and agreed to enlarge their cooperation in the exchange of experiences and best practices in areas falling within the remit of both ministries.
