San jos©: The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami, represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI at the inauguration ceremony of Costa Rica’s new President, Laura Fern¡ndez, held at the National Stadium in San Jos©. Fern¡ndez was sworn in for a four-year term in the presence of several international dignitaries.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the event was attended by heads of state, foreign delegations, representatives from international organizations, members of the diplomatic corps, and other distinguished figures. During the ceremony, Talbi El Alami conveyed the warm congratulations of His Majesty the King to President Fern¡ndez, along with His best wishes for her success in leading the people of Costa Rica toward further progress and prosperity.
Talbi El Alami was joined at the event by Tarik Louajri, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Costa Rica, who resides in Guatemala. In a prior congratulatory message, His Majesty King Mohammed VI expressed satisfaction with the robust relations of friendship and mutual esteem between Morocco and Costa Rica. The King also emphasized His commitment to working closely with President Fern¡ndez to strengthen these ties further, aiming to elevate them to an exemplary level for the benefit of both nations.
