Tan tan: In execution of High Instructions from His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), a reception ceremony for the arrival of the second batch of seven AH-64E Apache attack helicopters was held Friday in the Cap Draa training grounds in the Tan Tan region, southern Morocco.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the ceremony was organized at the close of the joint military maneuvers marking the end of the 22nd edition of the African Lion exercise. The event was attended by Morocco’s Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the South Zone, accompanied by Major General Mohammed Gadih, Inspector of the Royal Air Forces, as well as Major General Mohammed Benlouali, Chief of Staff of the South Zone.
On the American side, attendees included General Dagvin Anderson, Commander of U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM); General Christopher T. Donahue, Commander of U.S. Army Europe and Africa Command (USAREUR-AF); Major General Daniel Boyack, Commander of the Utah National Guard; as well as a high-ranking delegation led by Congressman Ronny Jackson of the State of Texas, says the source.
This acquisition falls within the framework of the High Guidelines of HM the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the FAR, aimed at modernizing the Royal Armed Forces, and strengthening their defense capabilities.
