Morocco’s ONMT Unveils Next-generation Morocco Pavilion for Leading Global Tourism Fairs

Rabat: Morocco’s National Tourist Office (ONMT) announced on Wednesday the launch of a call for tenders to design, develop, operate and manage a new-generation Morocco Pavilion.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the new concept is set to be rolled out in 2027 across the world’s seven leading tourism trade fairs. This initiative aims to support the development strategy of the Moroccan destination in its priority markets while enhancing the ability of Moroccan tourism operators to expand their international business. The Office emphasized that the new Morocco Pavilion will provide Moroccan professionals with a dedicated business environment, where each square meter contributes to economic development for the country’s entire tourism ecosystem.

The pavilion will be structured around three complementary areas. The Main Zone will unite Moroccan tourism operators, Regional Tourism Councils (CRTs), the flag carrier, and cultural entertainment. The Regional Immersion Zone will offer visitors a sensory journey through Morocco’s tourist regions, showcasing different immersive scenography at each trade fair. Meanwhile, the Premium Partners Zone will host hotel groups, destination management companies (DMCs), and inbound travel agencies.

For the first time, the ONMT will also open the Morocco Pavilion to the entire tourism value chain. This inclusion will allow restaurants, tourist transport providers, activity agencies, excursion operators, outdoor leisure specialists, and creators of cultural experiences to showcase their expertise to tourism professionals. The visitor experience will revolve around an immersive scenography that highlights the Kingdom’s regions through ten signature experiences: Culture, Desert, Ocean Waves, City Break, Nature and Trekking, Seaside Tourism, Sports, Handicrafts, Gastronomy, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).

The Morocco Pavilion will feature at major events such as FITUR in Madrid, ITB Berlin, the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, ITB China in Shanghai, IFTM Top R©sa in Paris, the World Travel Market in London, and IBTM World in Barcelona. These exhibitions gather hundreds of thousands of tourism professionals, thousands of exhibitors, and the industry’s leading decision-makers, positioning Morocco at the heart of the global tourism industry.
