Morocco’s UNHRC Presidency: International Recognition for its Continuous Efforts in Human Rights Promotion, Says Arab League Chief


Morocco’s election to the presidency of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) has garnered international recognition for its continuous efforts in promoting human rights, said the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

In a tweet on the social media platform “X”, Aboul Gheit stated that the vote outcome represents acknowledgment of Morocco’s continuous endeavors in the realm of human rights consolidation.

He expressed confidence that this achievement will contribute to advancing Arab causes within the Council and extended congratulations to the Kingdom on its election to lead the United Nations Human Rights Council for 2024.
