Popular Movement Party Reaffirms Commitment to National Interests

Rabat:Secretary-General of the Popular Movement Party, Mohamed Ouzzine, stated that the party will stay dedicated to the nation’s causes and supreme interests, regardless of whether it is part of the government majority or the opposition.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Ouzzine made these remarks after meeting with Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, who is consulting with political parties on forming the new government. He emphasized that participating as either a majority or opposition party may alternate, but defending the homeland’s interests remains a fundamental constant for all parties, promoting genuine citizenship.

Ouzzine noted that the meeting offered insights into the appointed Head of Government’s vision on several issues concerning citizens, emphasizing the geostrategic and regional challenges facing the Kingdom. He underlined the importance of addressing the issues affecting young people and speeding up the implementation of integrated territorial development programs, pointing out that this crucial period requires collective efforts to build a new Morocco with renewed prospects.

Additionally, Ouzzine congratulated El Mansouri on the Royal Trust she has received, wishing her success in her new role. He highlighted that appointing a woman as Head of Government signifies the High Care His Majesty King Mohammed VI bestows upon Moroccan women. Ouzzine expressed hope that this historic appointment will lead to greater representation of Moroccan women in decision-making roles and positions of responsibility.

The meeting included representatives from the Authenticity and Modernity Party, Abdellatif Ouahbi, Fouzi Lekjaa, and Ahmed Akhchichine, as well as Mohand Laenser and Hicham Rahil from the Popular Movement.
