This unique combination positions the Kingdom as a stabilizing force in a region fraught with multidimensional crises, added von Schirach, also a professor of political science and international relations at Bay Atlantic University in Washington.

The U.S. expert highlighted Morocco’s role as a bulwark of security under His Majesty the King’s leadership, particularly in the fight against terrorism. Morocco has developed globally recognized expertise in counter-terrorism, becoming an “indispensable strategic partner for the United States and the European Union.” The Kingdom actively contributes to dismantling terrorist cells across Africa and Europe.

Furthermore, von Schirach noted that Morocco’s political stability has created a conducive environment for international investors, transforming it into a leading regional economic hub. He also pointed to the historic relations between Washington and Rabat, describing the “strategic alliance” between Morocco and the United States as “one of the oldest and strongest partnerships in modern history.”

Von Schirach emphasized that the Moroccan-American relationship has evolved into a true operational alliance. In an unstable and fragmented international environment, the United States views Morocco as an indispensable strategic anchor, serving as a bridge between the West, the Arab-Muslim world, and the African continent.

On the economic front, von Schirach highlighted the free trade agreement between the two countries, in effect since 2006 and unique on the African continent. This agreement has propelled bilateral trade to “historic highs,” further cementing the economic ties between Morocco and the United States.
