RNI National Council Signals Willingness to Join Next Government


Rabat:The National Council of the National Rally of Independents (RNI) has expressed the party’s readiness to participate in the upcoming government. During an extraordinary session held in Rabat, the council authorized its president, Mohamed Chouki, to manage the party’s involvement in alignment with national interests.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, despite a decline in electoral performance compared to previous elections, the party’s results in the September 23 elections reflect its political strength, resilience, and capacity for continuity. This was emphasized in a statement released after the council’s session.



The council expressed pride in the party’s achievements during the previous government term, highlighting significant structural reforms that have fostered dignity, fairness, and equal opportunities in Morocco. The political report presented by Chouki underscored the success of these reforms amidst complex national and international conditions, demonstrating the effectiveness of government policies and commitment to political responsibility.



The report noted Morocco’s capability to convert challenges into opportunities, enhance its achievements, and boost its competitiveness globally. This session was deemed highly significant both organizationally and politically, taking place amidst a national atmosphere shaped by the recent legislative elections. The party approached this electoral process with a robust political agenda focusing on national priorities and citizen aspirations, in line with the High Royal Orientations.



The council also praised the favorable conditions of the 2026 legislative elections and their role in reinforcing the democratic process led by King Mohammed VI. Chouki’s presentation included an analysis of Morocco’s political, economic, and social landscape, outlining the party’s stance on international and regional issues based on national principles and interests.



The council acknowledged the sensitive nature of the current political phase and emphasized the need for ongoing internal mobilization. It expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of Royal diplomacy, applauding international recognition of the Moroccan character of the Sahara and the autonomy plan as a viable solution to the dispute.



Additionally, the RNI National Council congratulated the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) for securing the top position in the latest elections and recognized Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri’s appointment as Head of Government, affirming respect for voter decisions and election results.
