Rabat: “The Royal Speech once again clearly expresses this new momentum that will enable emerging Morocco to continue its modernization to consolidate its position as a fully-fledged player on the international stage,” Heydt told MAP agency.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Heydt highlighted that His Majesty the King, “faithful to His determination to pay particular attention to the human dimension that must be at the heart of all projects,” has outlined a new economic and social roadmap aimed at ensuring integrated development across all regions of the Kingdom, taking into account demographic, social, and inter-regional transformations.
By rejecting the idea of a country progressing at two different speeds, His Majesty the King, “a visionary and deeply humanistic Sovereign,” is keen to ensure integrated territorial development, inter-regional equity, and prosperity that benefits all segments of His loyal people, the Franco-Swiss political scientist affirmed.
Heydt also highlighted the deeply committed, peace- and hope-driven nature of the Sovereign’s call to build a fraternal Maghreb space with neighboring Algeria, carrying strong and humanistic political significance.
“His Majesty the King emphasized the need of renewed unity in the face of the losses caused by the Maghreb’s lack of development,” he noted.
While taking pride in the growing international support for the Autonomy Initiative regarding the Moroccan Sahara, the Sovereign reiterated the importance of the Southern Provinces of the Kingdom, which represent a vast opportunity for the development and future of the entire African continent, the analyst concluded.
