Accra:The enshrinement of the rule of law, along with the consolidation of democratic practices and the promotion of human rights, are essential for restoring trust in public action and political life, stated Head of Government, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, El Mansouri emphasized these principles as foundational to the Government Program during her address to Parliament. She highlighted the government’s intention to bolster trust through institutional presence, constructive interaction with the opposition, and enhanced citizen participation.
El Mansouri also reiterated the government’s dedication to making justice more accessible to citizens by launching a modernization initiative aimed at ensuring equitable access to justice and legal security. She stressed the importance of legislative and institutional reforms to showcase the nation’s advancements in human rights, integrating these into public policy.
The government is committed to fostering institutional governance that guarantees rights and freedoms while aligning national actions with international dynamics. El Mansouri highlighted ongoing efforts to improve the status of women, promote equality, and support women’s economic empowerment through access to employment and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Additionally, the fight against violence toward women and the enhancement of their roles in decision-making, education, healthcare, and social protection, especially in rural areas, remain priorities. El Mansouri noted the government’s focus on advanced regionalization to enhance territorial governance, involving the reorganization of regional competencies and the modernization of project implementation.
Financial autonomy for regions will be supported by increased funding, with financial transfers expected to reach at least 12 billion dirhams by 2027. The government plans to implement program contracts between the State and regions to address employment, investment, and disparities. El Mansouri also highlighted plans to implement the Charter of Administrative Deconcentration, as emphasized by King Mohammed VI, to advance regional development and integrated territorial programs, aiming to improve citizens’ lives.
