Dakar – Senegal consistently supports Morocco’s initiative to grant broad autonomy to the Sahara within the framework of respect for the Kingdom’s sovereignty and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions, for lasting peace in the region, said former Senegalese Foreign Minister Mankeur Ndiaye, special advisor to Head of State Macky Sall.
The former Senegalese FM and one of the signatories of the “Tangiers Appeal” for the expulsion of the pseudo “sadr” from the African Union, recalled Senegal’s consistent position on the Sahara question, at the Saturday presentation of his two recently published books.
“Regarding such an important issue that concerns us, that of the Sahara, my country reaffirms its attachment to the consolidation of long-standing fraternal ties between all the peoples of the Maghreb and Africa, in general,” said Ndiaye in a speech on this occasion.
‘In this spirit, all forms of separatism should be discouraged, and in this respect, Senegal would like to reiterate its support for Morocco

JEDDAH: Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha, reiterated the position of the OIC and its call on the international community to urgently take effective measures to stop all forms of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
During a meeting today with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Saudi Arabia, Michael Kindsgrab, who was accompanied by Consul General and Special Envoy of Germany to the OIC Eltje Aderhold, the OIC Secretary-General emphasized the need to seek the implementation of the two-state solution.
Both sides discussed the latest developments in Gaza and the Palestinian issue during the meeting.
