Manama, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, the Chairman of Shura Council.

Both sides highlighted the keenness of the legislative authority in strengthening cooperation with the executive authority to serve the Kingdom and its citizens, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The two sides affirmed continuing joint work, cooperation, coordination, and the development of bilateral work methodology between the two councils during the upcoming third session of the sixth legislative term, to modernise laws and develop the national legislation system to support comprehensive development strategies, plans and programmes that are in the interest of the nation and citizens.

The meeting discussed topics of common interest, and means to advance the role of parliamentary diplomacy in international forums.
