Dakhla: A high-level delegation from Suriname paid a visit to Dakhla on Friday to explore investment opportunities in the region and examine prospects for economic and trade cooperation with Morocco.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the visit is part of Suriname’s Economic Promotion Week in Morocco, held from May 4 to 10, aimed at showcasing the South American country’s economic potential across several sectors and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships with Moroccan operators.

The Surinamese delegation, led by Reggy Nelson, Senior Advisor to the President of the Republic of Suriname, held a series of meetings with several regional officials. On this occasion, members of the delegation were briefed on the region’s development momentum under the new development model for Morocco’s Southern Provinces, as well as its significant economic potential in areas such as tourism, fisheries, infrastructure, renewable energy, and services.

In a statement to the press, Reggy Nelson said the visit allowed him to fully appreciate the richness and potential of Dakhla, noting that he was impressed by its urban development, infrastructure, and opportunities across multiple sectors.
