‘Together, We Hear Each Other Better’ Program Launches Fourth Phase to Strengthen Fraternal Ties

Rabat: The “Together, We Hear Each Other Better” program, recognized globally for its unique approach, has launched its fourth phase in Nairobi. This initiative aims to fortify the bonds of friendship and fraternity between Morocco and African countries. The announcement was made by the Solidarity Minister during a press briefing at the event’s inauguration.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, this program is a key part of the ongoing efforts by the Lalla Asmaa Foundation, led by HRH Princess Lalla Asmaa, to assist deaf and hard-of-hearing children. The program is remarkable on a global level, extending its reach to countries across Africa, Latin America, and the MENA region.

Abderrazzak Laassel, His Majesty the King’s Ambassador to the Republic of Kenya and the Republic of South Sudan, highlighted that this initiative is a testament to the cooperation between Morocco and Kenya. It aligns with the visionary approach of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who prioritizes development and cooperation in Africa as a central aspect of Morocco’s diplomatic agenda.

The launch event, held at Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi, was graced by Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Asmaa and Her Excellency Rachel Ruto, First Lady of the Republic of Kenya and President of the Voice of Children Foundation. The program seeks to provide cochlear implant surgeries to around 70 Kenyan children with severe hearing impairments, facilitating their ability to experience sound, communicate, and thrive.

This initiative embodies the humanist and solidarity-based vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, promoting robust South-South cooperation aimed at empowering young individuals through access to sound and communication.
