According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Simou explained that the choice of the name Unity Day signifies a historic milestone in Morocco’s national cause, embodying the spirit of national unity and territorial integrity that has strengthened over time. She emphasized that October 31, 2025, the date when the Security Council reaffirmed Morocco’s sovereignty over its Sahara, will be remembered as a defining moment in the nation’s history.
Simou further noted that this event opens a new chapter in Morocco’s contemporary history, marking a transition from the Green March to development marches, culminating in the march of a united Morocco. The Director of the Royal Archives emphasized that this day signifies a turning point
