Addis Ababa – Morocco reiterated, on Wednesday before the 44th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa, the importance of ensuring the full operationalization of the African Migration Observatory.
Speaking at the AU Executive Council meeting, the Moroccan delegation emphasized the constant commitment of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, AU leader on the issue of migration.
It also stressed the importance of ensuring regular and meticulous follow-up to the recommendations contained in the report of the Chairperson of the AU Commission, in particular the acceleration of the operationalization of the African Migration Observatory.
The delegation stressed the need to provide the Observatory with the human and financial resources it needs to operate.

GAZA: At least four civilians were killed today in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house west of the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Medical sources said that Israeli fighter jets bombed a house for the Nuwaija family, which resulted in the killing of four people. They were rushed to Al-Aqsa Hospital in nearby Deir al-Balah.
According to the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), violent Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling were reported in the vicinity of Al-Amal Hospital, in the city of Khan Yunis, which left massive destruction in several nearby buildings.
