Comorian President Highlights Strategic Ties with Morocco


Moroni: In a speech commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the independence of the Union of the Comoros, President Azali Assoumani emphasized the nation’s diplomatic relationship with Morocco, identifying it as a strategic partner focused on energy, training, and investment.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Assoumani also noted Comoros’s role on the African and global stages, where it has chaired the African Union, advocated for small island states, and supported initiatives for peace, institutional reform, and quality education for all.



In line with the High Instructions of HM the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, a detachment from FAR participated in the celebrations marking the fiftieth anniversary of Comoros’s independence, following an invitation extended to Morocco.
