ICESCO Conference in Rabat Highlights Architectural Heritage of Palestinian Mosques

Rabat:Researchers and intellectuals gathered in Rabat to discuss the history and architectural evolution of mosques in Al-Quds and Palestine during a conference dedicated to this centuries-old heritage.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the event was organized by the Center for Civilizational Dialogue, part of the Islamic World Organization for Education, Science, and Culture (ICESCO), in collaboration with the Khaled Al-Hassan Foundation’s Center for Studies and Research. As part of the “Architecture and Civilization” series, the conference aimed to explore the connections between architecture, identity, and civilizational memory.

The conference sought to highlight the architectural heritage of the mosques in Al-Quds and Palestine by integrating historical, architectural, and civilizational perspectives. A key focus was the presentation and discussion of a research project on the architecture of these mosques, examining its methodology and primary themes.

This initiative aims to strengthen cooperation between ICESCO, various institutions, and experts interested in architecture, heritage, and civilization studies. The event attracted specialists from the organization, as well as several experts and researchers dedicated to this field.
