Ivorian Foreign Minister Commends Morocco’s Efforts in Africa


Rabat: C´te d’Ivoire’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Nial© Kaba, praised the initiatives spearheaded by Morocco, under the impetus of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, for the benefit of the African continent.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, during a joint press briefing with Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, following their talks, Kaba, who is on her first working visit to the Kingdom, highlighted the significance of the Process of Atlantic African States. She also emphasized the Royal Initiative aimed at facilitating Sahel countries’ access to the Atlantic Ocean.



Kaba praised the enduring historical relations between C´te d’Ivoire and Morocco, noting that the centuries-old bilateral cooperation has been significantly strengthened under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara.



The Ivorian diplomat also underscored the vital role of the Moroccan private sector in C´te d’Ivoire, acknowledging that Moroccan companies are actively contributing to the country’s economic development and major infrastructure projects.



In addition, Kaba mentioned that the meeting served as an opportunity to explore ways to strengthen economic cooperation mechanisms and inject new momentum into investments and bilateral exchanges. This includes initiatives within the framework of the Morocco-C´te d’Ivoire Economic Impetus Group.



Kaba expressed C´te d’Ivoire’s interest in leveraging Morocco’s experience in economic development and South-South cooperation, especially with regard to the implementation of C´te d’Ivoire’s National Development Plan 2026-2030.



Furthermore, she conveyed her gratitude to Morocco for the scholarships granted annually to Ivorian students, highlighting the importance of bilateral cooperation in education and skills development.
