Minister Baraka Holds Talks with Speaker of Peruvian Congress on Bilateral Cooperation


Rabat: The meeting is part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and aimed to explore prospects for cooperation in areas under the purview of the Ministry of Equipment and Water. On this occasion, the two sides exchanged views on their respective experiences while identifying avenues for technical and institutional partnerships to advance bilateral dialogue around key structural projects of mutual interest.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Salhuana Cavides, who led a high-level delegation, stated that his visit aims to gain insight into Morocco’s successful experiences in various sectors, emphasizing the Kingdom’s economic progress. He praised Morocco’s achievements in enhancing port and road infrastructure and improving water supply efficiency, noting that thanks to various initiatives, the Kingdom continues to consolidate its economic development and prosperity.



For his part, Baraka stated that the meeting served to spotlight the strategies implemented in Morocco in the water sector, particularly seawater desalination. He reaffirmed the Kingdom’s willingness to share its successful experience in the field. The minister also discussed large-scale port projects such as Tanger Med, Dakhla Atlantic, and Nador West Med, as well as Morocco’s road infrastructure policy aimed at reducing territorial disparities, including the national highway strategy.



Baraka further stressed that under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco attaches great importance to strengthening bilateral relations with friendly countries such as Peru.
