Rabat: The facility, the first of its kind nationwide, is one of 13 new training centers recently completed across eight regions in Morocco. The project aligns with the directives of HM King Mohammed VI, who has called for broader access to healthcare, disability support, and vocational training services for disadvantaged populations.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Abdelhamid Senhajir, project manager for the Casablanca-Settat region, said the center aims to position itself as a regional, national, and continental reference for industrial skills development. It targets both initial training and certified continuing education for professionals.
The facility has a capacity of 800 students and offers programs in six specialties across three qualification levels: technician, specialized technician, and vocational training. It is equipped with state-of-the-art workshops, a 120-bed dormitory, a welding quality control lab, and multiple support facilities including a career guidance center, language and
soft-skills rooms, a multimedia space, and a library.
Built with an investment of 94 million dirhams, the project is part of the Foundation’s broader strategy to expand vocational training access for youth from disadvantaged backgrounds and enhance employability in the industrial sector.
Young beneficiaries attending the center’s open day expressed satisfaction with the training offer and infrastructure, highlighting the opportunity to gain technical expertise in a learning environment that blends theory and practice while meeting international standards.
