Morocco Hosts 93rd INTERPOL General Assembly, Affirming Leadership in African Security


Marrakech: The hosting of the 93rd INTERPOL General Assembly in Marrakech underscores the significant confidence placed in Morocco by the global security community, according to Burkinabe National Police Chief, Tuina. This statement followed his discussions with Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, during the event held from November 24 to 27.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, Tuina emphasized that hosting the INTERPOL General Assembly, the organization’s supreme governing body, serves as a mark of recognition for Morocco and its contributions to international security cooperation. He expressed satisfaction with Morocco being chosen to host this prominent gathering, highlighting its role in showcasing African policing on an international platform.



The Burkinabe security official praised the seamless organization of the INTERPOL General Assembly, which he believes facilitates progress in international police cooperation. He noted that from Morocco, Africa is asserting its rightful position in the security domain, especially as many of INTERPOL’s programs are increasingly focused on the continent.
