Rabat: Morocco’s top police chief recently met with the head of the Emirati intelligence services as part of a working visit aimed at enhancing cooperation and mutual assistance between the two countries.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the focus of the meeting was on expanding the scope of security coordination and partnership.
The discussions centered around strengthening operational cooperation and security coordination, with an emphasis on consolidating information exchange mechanisms to address security threats, particularly terrorist risks in various tension zones. The meeting highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in facing these challenges.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to assess the increasing security challenges in Africa, especially in the Sahel-Saharan region. The two officials reviewed strategies for concerted joint action to tackle regional challenges posed by terrorism, which is of growing concern for neighboring countries and global peace and security.
These discussions reflect the shared commitment of Morocco and the UAE’s security services to enhance their bilateral cooperation. The aim is to mitigate risks that threaten peace and security not only in their respective countries but also in their regional and international environments.
