Rabat: The upcoming Morocco-EU Joint Parliamentary Committee meeting is scheduled to be held in Rabat at the end of October. The meeting was discussed during a conference call on Tuesday, July 8, between Haddad and Razza, emphasizing its significance as it will occur shortly after the launch of the new EU Pact for the Mediterranean.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the new EU Pact for the Mediterranean is described as an ‘ambitious’ proposal aimed at bolstering cooperation between the European Union and its Southern partners. The initiative seeks to enhance shared interests and mutual benefits, with the objective of creating a ‘more stable, prosperous and interconnected region,’ as noted in a Joint Communiqu© released by the two parties.
The co-chairs of the committee, Haddad and Razza, expressed their commitment to developing a shared vision for prosperity that is supported by peace, security, and inclusive development. This commitment is expected to be a central focus during the upcoming meeting in Rabat.
