Morocco Welcomes 8.9 Mln Tourists in First Half of 2025

Rabat: Morocco experienced a significant influx of tourists in the first half of 2025, with 8.9 million visitors arriving in the country. This trend highlights the Kingdom’s position as a preferred destination and provides an optimistic outlook for the remainder of the year, as stated by the Ministry in a press release.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, June was a particularly strong month, contributing 1.7 million arrivals. This figure represents an 11% increase compared to 2024 and marks the highest number of tourists recorded in June to date. The Ministry emphasized that this positive start to the summer season is set to enhance the growth already observed, with summer traditionally being a peak period for Morocco’s tourism sector.

Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor, noted that these results underscore Morocco’s appeal and its capacity to attract a growing number of tourists. She highlighted two main priorities for the second half of the year: improving air connectivity and expanding accommodation and entertainment options to cater to the expectations of a more demanding clientele.
