Rabat: In a video address at the opening of the 6th annual Africa Pension Supervisors Association Conference, Fettah emphasized that pooling expertise, adapting regulatory frameworks, and investing in solutions rooted in local realities would help build a sustainable African pension architecture.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, she recalled that, under the impetus of HM King Mohammed VI, Morocco has placed social protection and human capital at the heart of its development agenda. The country is implementing a roadmap to extend pension coverage to five million uncovered Moroccans, while reforming existing schemes, both public and private.
The government official stressed the need for African countries to develop their own responses, adapted to their specific economic, social, and demographic circumstances. She believes that “Africa today has a wide field of action to design innovative, integrated models adapted to its realities, based on modern, connected governance.”
The conference brings together heads of supervision authorities from several African countries, representatives of international organizations, institutions, and industry experts.
