North Macedonia and Morocco to Enhance Bilateral Economic Ties


Rabat: North Macedonia is set to strengthen its economic and business cooperation with Morocco as both nations approach the 25th anniversary of their diplomatic relations, announced Mucunski, North Macedonia’s Foreign Minister, during a joint press conference with Nasser Bourita, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates.



According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, discussions between the two ministers included the potential establishment of a direct air link between North Macedonia and Morocco. They also explored investment opportunities that could benefit businesses from both countries. Mucunski emphasized the shared strategic values between Rabat and Skopje, revealing plans to organize an economic forum in Morocco. This forum aims to unite business leaders from both nations to assess possibilities for joint investments and expanded trade collaboration.



Mucunski pointed out that there is significant potential in these areas for mutual benefit. He also highlighted Morocco’s strategic relations with the European Union, which North Macedonia aspires to join, along with Rabat’s strong partnerships with the United States and the United Kingdom-countries with which North Macedonia also maintains strategic ties.
