Rabat: Rabat is set to host the 6th International children’s summit simulation for Al-Quds on Tuesday, with the participation of children from 24 different countries, including six Palestinians aged 11 to 16 who are enrolled in schools under the Al-Quds Directorate of Education.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the event is launched by Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, under the auspices of the Al-Quds Committee chaired by HM King Mohammed VI, and supported by the Ministry of National Education, Preschool, and Sports. The event is held under the theme: “Media that Do Palestinian Children Justice” and coincides with Rabat’s designation as the Arab Media Capital 2026.
Scheduled during this session, which will be held until May 14, are several activities. These include educational visits to various departments of the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication – Department of Communication. Children will also visit the Higher Institute of Information and Communication (ISIC), before participating in artistic and educational workshops led by the technical team in charge of the “Haya” platform for children and youth, aimed at raising awareness of Al-Quds values.
Launched by the Agency in 2024 as part of its Digital Strategy 2024-2027, this platform offers animated cartoons, interactive posters using Augmented Reality (AR), an educational magazine, and puppets featuring the characters “Olive Seed” and “The Key,” which symbolize peace and the right of return.
The session also provides Palestinian children the opportunity to share their perspectives with their peers regarding media representation and the safeguarding of their rights and privacy, in accordance with the principles set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
