Sanchez’s Visit to Morocco Testifies to Deep Bilateral Strategic Partnership (Tunisian Expert)

Tunis – The visit of the President of the Spanish government, Pedro Sanchez, to Morocco reflects the excellence of bilateral relations between the two countries and the depth of their strategic partnership, Tunisian political scientist Mohamed Nejib Ouerghi said.

Sanchez’s choice of Morocco for his first trip abroad after his investiture testifies to the particularity of relations between the two countries united by history and geography, the Tunisian expert told MAP.

This visit also follows on consultations initiated between the two countries to give new impetus to their bilateral strategic partnership, strongly consolidated by the meeting between HM King Mohammed VI and Sanchez in April 2022.

In this context, Nejib Ouerghi highlighted the solidity of multidimensional relations between the two countries, as Spain is Morocco’s leading trading partner, which makes this visit a privileged opportunity to promote economic ties.

The President of the Spanish Government on Wednesday paid a working visit to Moroc
co, marked by the audience granted to him by HM King Mohammed VI.

Sanchez’s visit to Morocco follows on from the new stage in bilateral relations, initiated by the meeting between HM the King and the President of the Spanish Government in April 2022, and the adoption, on that occasion, of the Joint Declaration between the two countries.
