Abu Rudeineh slams Netanyahu’s statement, call them a ‘challenge to international legitimacy’

RAMALLAH: The official spokesman for the presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, said on Tuesday that the statements of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about ‘full Israeli security control over the West Bank and Gaza Strip’ are a challenge to international legitimacy and the Arab initiative, and a belittling of the international and American position, given that the entire world talks about an independent Palestinian state and seeks to recognize it.

Abu Rudeineh stressed that these rejected Israeli policies do not bring security and stability to anyone here or in the region, warning against the continuation of this destructive approach that will lead matters to a complete explosion.

He stressed that without stopping the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, and the State of Palestine obtaining full membership in the United Nations by a decision of the UN Security Council, and embodying the independence of the independent State of Palestine on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jer
usalem as its capital, the Palestinian position, backed by Arab and international support, rejects this Israeli policy that challenges the world and keeps the region on the edge of explosion.

Abu Rudeineh said that the US administration must be firm in its dealings with Israel, and force it to stop the war first, because the right to self-determination for the Palestinian people is a red line, just like Jerusalem and its sanctities.
