Rabat: Organized by the Group of Spouses of Arab Ambassadors and Heads of International Organizations, in partnership with the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, the Association of White Hands, and with the support of ICESCO, this humanitarian initiative-combining artistic creation and charitable action- forms part of the efforts to promote a culture of solidarity and to showcase heritage and traditional attire in support of socially oriented initiatives.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the event was held as part of the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of the Glorious Green March. The evening took place in the presence of Her Highness Princess Lalla Lamia Essolh, President of the Alaouite Organization for the Promotion of the Blind in Morocco (OAPAM), along with several diplomatic, cultural, and artistic personalities.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, Naïma Ben Yahia, emphasized that the commemoration of the Green Marc
h offers a renewed opportunity to recall the values of unity, cohesion, and generosity that marked this memorable national epic. She stressed that this charitable event reflects the extension of these values by supporting initiatives that have a direct impact on vulnerable groups.
She added that celebrating this anniversary in an artistic and human context illustrates the depth of fraternal ties between Arab peoples and highlights the role of culture in transmitting noble social values, noting that each item displayed represents a living memory and a story of creativity and beauty.
For her part, the President of the Group of Women of Arab Ambassadors and Heads of International Organizations, Rania Abdeen Shobaki, underlined that the evening highlights the elegance of Moroccan attire as well as human values, noting that the event is not merely an artistic celebration but rather conveys a message of love and generosity reflecting the spirit of Arab solidarity.
She added that the group works throughout the ye
ar to undertake social and humanitarian initiatives benefiting vulnerable populations, expressing pride in the strategic partnership with the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, while commending ICESCO’s support for this initiative.
For her part, the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Morocco, Jumana Suleiman Ali Ghunaimat, guest of honor of the evening, stated that the traditional garments presented are pieces carrying deep historical significance, adding that the event reflects the level of cooperation between Morocco and Jordan, grounded in shared human values.
She further noted that the anniversary of the Green March reflects Morocco’s determination to defend its territorial integrity, recalling that Jordan has always been among the firm supporters of this cause, given the profound historical ties between the two brotherly countries.
Meanwhile, the President of the Association of White Hands, Ghariba Jouahri, highlighted that the evening enabled a cultural interaction t
hrough the display of traditional outfits, reflecting the richness and diversity of Arab heritage.
She affirmed that the Association continues to support vulnerable groups through various initiatives implemented in partnership with national and international institutions, stressing that the event demonstrates the importance of cultural action in strengthening solidarity.
The program featured a series of diverse fashion shows by designers from Morocco, Jordan, Palestine, and Tunisia, along with video presentations showcasing the participating countries and associations.
Guests were also treated to a musical performance by Moroccan artist Salma Rachid, which brought a festive atmosphere to the event.
The evening concluded with a fashion show highlighting the regions of the Kingdom and with the presentation of awards, in a setting that blended art with humanitarian action, reflecting the values upheld by the Glorious Green March and its enduring spirit.
