HEBRON: Armed Israeli colonists demolished homes and razed agricultural structures today in Masafer Yatta region, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.
The sources informed WAFA correspondent that colonists demolished homes and bulldozed a cave, a water well, and sheep pens belonging to the family of citizen Ahmed Mahmoud Hamamdeh in the Shaghab Farsa area in Masafer Yatta.
Hamamdeh reported that the colonists leveled and destroyed all residential and agricultural structures in the area, completely altering its landscape, in an attempt to hide the traces of their previous attacks that forced the family to evacuate forcibly.
It is worth noting that the Hamamdeh family was compelled to leave the Shaghab Farsa area in Masafer Yatta about two months ago due to the continuous attacks by colonists on the family and its properties.
The latest attack involved assaulting the family’s homes, threatening its members, smashing solar cells, destroying drinking water tanks, agricultural
crops, and uprooting and breaking fruitful trees.
In a related context, activist Osama Makhamera said that a group of armed colonists dressed in Israeli military uniforms raided inhabited homes in the Sada al-Thalaa area in Masafer Yatta. They conducted searches and tampered with the contents.
Additionally, armed colonists chased shepherds in Wadi al-Juwaya in Masafer Yatta, preventing them from reaching pastures and fields under the threat of weapons.
