Rabat: Speaking at the onset of the Government Council meeting, Akhannouch said that the government, through all its political parties, has reacted to the demands expressed by young people and announces that it will respond positively to these societal demands, while expressing its willingness to engage in dialogue and debate within institutions and public spaces.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the government has been following the unfortunate developments over the past two days in several cities across the Kingdom, which have escalated into dangerous acts jeopardizing security and public order, leaving hundreds of law enforcement officers injured and causing damage to public and private property.
Akhannouch expressed regret at the deaths of three people following these events, praising the interventions of different security forces who continue to fulfill their constitutional mission of protecting public safety and order and safeguarding individual and collective rights and freedoms.
On this occasion, he reaffirmed that an approach based on dialogue is the only means to address various issues facing Morocco and accelerate the pace of implementation of public policies, subject of social demands, in order to achieve all Moroccans’ collective ambition.
