Dakar: His Majesty King Mohammed VI has pursued a broad policy of structural reforms since His accession to the Throne, marked by major development projects, said former Senegalese Minister of Foreign Affairs Mankeur Ndiaye.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, in a statement to MAP-Dakar in the lead-up to Throne Day celebrations, the former head of diplomacy emphasized that this reform policy, initiated under the Sovereign’s leadership, is founded on the core principles of modernity, justice, social equity, and integrated and sustainable development.
In this regard, he highlighted the numerous reforms carried out across various sectors, particularly in social, economic, and renewable energy fields, with flagship projects such as the Noor Ouarzazate solar plant, as well as reforms in education, healthcare, vocational training, and justice.
Praising the international momentum driven by His Majesty the King in support of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara, the former Senegalese minister noted that the growing international backing for the Kingdom’s territorial integrity and its diplomatic breakthroughs are the result of the Sovereign’s strategic Vision.
This Royal Vision, he continued, is built on firmness, clarity, and openness, as well as on the values of African and international solidarity and enhanced South-South cooperation.
In this context, Ndiaye recalled the positions of major powers such as the United States of America, France, Spain, and the United Kingdom in support of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara, as well as the opening of diplomatic representations by several countries in the southern provinces of the Kingdom.
