Rabat: In a statement issued Wednesday evening following its meeting chaired by PI Secretary General Nizar Baraka, the Committee emphasized that young people’s expressions of concern about social rights and improving the quality of health services are legitimate and fall fully in line with the major reforms undertaken by the government in the health sector.
According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the Executive Committee affirms that it shares young people’s conviction that these social demands are justified, urging immediate action to address the shortcomings of territorial governance in the management of the public health sector, the improvement of reception facilities, the effectiveness of interventions, and the quality of services.
On the other hand, the Party’s Executive Committee has expressed its strong condemnation of the serious abuses that have marred these protests, including acts of violence, destruction and damage to public and private property, and attacks on law enforcement officers.
The Party also condemned all actions that pose a threat to public safety and order, citizen security, and social stability, emphasizing that such acts go against the exercise of rights and freedoms as well as democratic values, which are based on dialogue and responsibility as principles governing individual and collective freedom of expression.
